Classroom Tool
Background
- HEP Vaud sought a tech partner to develop a learning dashboard providing real-time, multi-dimensional analytics leveraging process data, to support teacher-led meta-discussions in the classroom, such as around problem-solving strategies.
Our Role
- Anansi was tasked with turning this vision into a functional, modular system, extensible with new learning activities and allowing future integration with the OECD’s PILA system.
- Designing a privacy-first system, compliant with both GDPR and nFADP, to handle pupils’ data.
Outcome
- Co-designed the system with researchers and their UX/LX design partners, adapting swiftly to user feedback.
- Integrated and extended the Scratch programming environment with assessment capabilities and partial scoring.
- Built a highly versatile dashboard and data model, enabling unified analytics across different programming environments and activities, as well as easy extension to new types of learning activities.
